SuiteCommerce 2021.2.x Minor Releases: Theme Customizer, Customer Registration, and SEO Fixes

What changed

Oracle shipped four minor patches against the 2021.2 SuiteCommerce baseline. All are bug-fix-only releases with no new features or API changes.

2021.2.4 — SuiteCommerce & SuiteCommerce MyAccount only

• Theme Customizer fix: The Theme Customizer was non-functional inside the My Account area. This is resolved. Note: a single secure domain is required to update My Account via Site Management Tools (SMT). Oracle updated the help topics Does SuiteCommerce MyAccount support Site Management Tools? and Site Management Tools Overview to clarify this requirement.
• Pending Approval invoices hidden: Invoices with status Pending Approval are no longer displayed in My Account, since they cannot be opened by the customer.
• SEO Page Generator translation: Text and metadata output by the SEO Page Generator were not being translated. This is now fixed.
• These fixes apply to SuiteCommerce Advanced starting in the 2022.1 release, not in 2021.2.4.

2021.2.3 — All SuiteCommerce products

• Customer Registration bypass: New customers were able to register and create accounts even when the Customer Registration preference on the Website Setup Record was configured to restrict registration to existing customers only. This has been corrected — the preference is now enforced.
• Norwegian locale code: Multi-Domain translation configuration was using language code nb_NO for Norwegian. This has been changed to no_NO. If you have custom scripts or configuration referencing the Norwegian locale code, verify you are using no_NO.

2021.2.2 — All SuiteCommerce products

• Free gift / pickup-in-store fix: An item with a free gift promotion was incorrectly reverting from a pickup-in-store fulfillment method to a shipping delivery method. This is resolved.

• Background processing updates only — no end-user or developer-facing changes. Oracle provided no further detail.

What to do

1. Theme Customizer / SMT users: Confirm your Commerce website uses a single secure domain for My Account if you manage it via SMT. If you have multiple domains, consolidate to one secure domain or you may encounter issues applying theme customizations.
2. Norwegian locale (nb_NO → no_NO): Search your SuiteScripts, custom configuration, and any integration code for references to nb_NO. Update to no_NO to match the corrected platform behavior.
3. Customer Registration preference: If you rely on the Website Setup Record's Customer Registration setting to restrict sign-ups to existing customers, verify the fix is active in your account and confirm that new registrations are properly blocked.
4. SuiteCommerce Advanced users: The 2021.2.4 fixes (Theme Customizer, Pending Approval invoices, SEO translation) are not included in SCA until the 2022.1 release. Plan your upgrade path accordingly.
5. Free gift promotions: If you use free gift promotions with pickup-in-store fulfillment, retest your checkout flow to confirm the fulfillment method sticks after the fix.
