Payment Times Report (PTR) 2025 — ANZ Localization SuiteApp for Australian Compliance
Australia's updated Payment Times Reporting legislation (March 2025 ATO guidelines) is now supported via the ANZ Localization SuiteApp. PTR 2025 replaces the older PTR 2023 flow and requires SuiteApp installation, feature enablement, supplier ABN identification, and bill-inclusion configuration before report generation.
Oracle has added support for Payment Times Report (PTR) 2025, a legislative requirement under updated March 2025 Australian Taxation Office guidelines. Large businesses in Australia with trade-credit arrangements with small-business suppliers must file this report to the Payment Times Reporting Portal. PTR 2025 supersedes the previous PTR 2023 report.
What changed
- New report variant — PTR 2025: Generates three outputs: the Payment Times Report itself, a Trade Credit Payments (TCP) dataset, and a Small Business Trade Credit Payments (SBTCP) dataset.
- Replaces PTR 2023: The older report remains available but the new flow follows the March 2025 ATO guidelines. If you are already using PTR 2023, you will need to switch to the PTR 2025 workflow going forward.
- ANZ Localization SuiteApp dependency: PTR 2025 is delivered through the ANZ Localization SuiteApp (managed bundle). The report is generated from the Country Tax Reports page, not from a standalone menu entry.
- Supplier identification workflow: Before generating the report you must flag which vendors are small-business suppliers and generate a Supplier ABN List Report to validate Australian Business Numbers.
- Bill-level inclusion rules: Specific bills must be identified for inclusion in the PTR 2025 dataset. The release notes do not detail the exact record-level fields or saved-search criteria used — verify the SuiteApp's bundled configuration after installation.
What is not clear from the source
The release notes are light on implementation detail. The following points are not documented in this page and should be verified in the SuiteApp bundle or the linked prerequisite pages:
- Which custom records, fields, or sublists the SuiteApp adds to vendor and bill records.
- Whether the small-business supplier flag is a custom checkbox on the Vendor record or managed via a separate custom record.
- Whether any SuiteScript entry points (scheduled scripts, map/reduce) run as part of report generation and what governance impact they have.
- The exact SuiteApp bundle ID and minimum version required for PTR 2025 support.
- Whether REST or SOAP web-service access to the generated report data is available.
What to do
- Check eligibility: This applies only to Australian subsidiaries classified as large businesses with trade-credit arrangements with small businesses under ATO definitions.
- Review prerequisites: Follow Oracle's Installing ANZ Localization guide before installing the SuiteApp. Prerequisites likely include enabling certain features and configuring the Australian subsidiary.
- Install or update the ANZ Localization SuiteApp: Go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles and search for the ANZ Localization bundle. If already installed, check for available updates.
- Enable PTR 2025: After installation, enable the PTR 2025 feature via the path described in Oracle's Enabling ANZ Features documentation (likely under Setup > Company > Enable Features or a SuiteApp-specific setup page).
- Configure PTR 2025 settings: Complete the configuration wizard or setup record referenced as Payment Times Report 2025 Configuration.
- Identify small-business suppliers: Flag qualifying vendors and generate the Supplier ABN List Report to validate ABNs before report generation.
- Review bill inclusions: Confirm which vendor bills are included in the report. Check the SuiteApp's documentation for filtering criteria.
- Generate the report: Navigate to the Country Tax Reports page and run PTR 2025. Submit the output to the Payment Times Reporting Portal.
- Decommission PTR 2023 workflows: If you have scripts, saved searches, or scheduled tasks tied to the old PTR 2023 report, plan to migrate or retire them.
