Generative AI Feature Availability: Regional, Language, and Permission Requirements

This is a living reference page — not a single-feature release note — that consolidates the availability constraints for every generative-AI capability shipped through 2026.1. If you are evaluating, enabling, or scripting against any of these features, the regional, language, and permission gates below are the ones that matter.

Standard (Core ERP) AI Features

Enriched Bank Data

• Region: All regions.
• Languages: All system-supported NetSuite languages.
• Enabled by default. Applies only to bank-transaction imports used for matching and reconciliation — not other financial data.
• Requires the same permissions needed for the Match Bank Data page and bank-data import (see Permissions for Banking Features).
• Hard cap of 10,000 transactions per reconciliation-rule run. Re-run the rule to continue if exceeded.

Intelligent Bill Capture

• Region: United States only (US data centers).
• Language: English only.
• Currently limited to a subset of US-hosted accounts.

NetSuite Expert (SuiteAnswers)

• Region: All regions.
• Language: English only.
• Activated when a SuiteAnswers search query contains three or more words.

Text Enhance & Text Enhance Translations

• Regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, EU (Amsterdam/Frankfurt data centers), Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, UAE, UK, US.
• Languages: All system-supported languages. Translation target languages are configurable by an Administrator.
• Enabled by default; can be disabled by an Administrator role.
• Text Enhance Translations requires Text Enhance to also be enabled.
• The user-preference language setting affects available choices.

Prompt Studio & N/llm Module

• Region: Same as Text Enhance (see above).
• Language: English only for the Prompt Studio UI; the N/llm module itself is language-agnostic at the API level.
• Prompt Studio is available to Administrator roles or any role with the Setup Prompts (ADMI_PROMPTS) permission.
• The N/llm SuiteScript 2.1 APIs require Server SuiteScript to be enabled on the account.

Narrative Insights Overview

• Region: All regions.
• Languages: All system-supported languages.
• Available in accounts upgraded to 2026.1.
• HIPAA exclusion: Cannot be activated for healthcare customers with a signed BAA.

Task Prioritization — Intelligent Close Manager

• Region: All regions.
• Languages: All system-supported languages.
• The AI Prioritized button is unavailable for healthcare customers with a signed BAA (not yet assessed for HIPAA).

SuiteApp / Module AI Features

Audit Summarization (Compliance 360)

• Region: Not specified — Oracle omits regional detail for this feature.
• Languages: All system-supported languages.
• Requires the Compliance 360 SuiteApp.

NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant

• Regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, UAE (Amsterdam/Frankfurt data centers), UK, US.
• Language: English only.
• Non-production only — sandbox and Release Preview accounts. Not yet available in production.
• Requires the NetSuite CPQ Configurator SuiteApp.

What to Do

1. Check your data-center region. Several features (Text Enhance, Prompt Studio, N/llm, CPQ AI Assistant) are restricted to specific Oracle Cloud regions. Confirm your account's hosting region under Setup > Company > Company Information.
2. Verify permissions. Prompt Studio requires ADMI_PROMPTS. Enriched Bank Data requires banking-feature permissions. Audit roles need the Compliance 360 SuiteApp installed.
3. Enable Server SuiteScript if you plan to use the N/llm module in SuiteScript 2.1. Without it the API is inaccessible regardless of region.
4. Review HIPAA/BAA constraints. If your account has a signed BAA, Narrative Insights and the Intelligent Close Manager's AI Prioritized button are blocked. No workaround exists — contact your NetSuite representative.
5. Do not plan production CPQ AI Assistant deployments yet. The feature is sandbox/Release Preview only. No production timeline has been published.
