Profitability and Cost Management Sync SuiteApp — Initial Release
Oracle released the initial version (26.1) of the Profitability and Cost Management Sync SuiteApp, which integrates NetSuite with Oracle EPM Cloud's Profitability and Cost Management module via the existing NetSuite EPM Connector SuiteApp.
Version 26.1 of the Profitability and Cost Management Sync SuiteApp is the initial release of this bundle. It provides synchronization between NetSuite and Oracle EPM Cloud's Profitability and Cost Management (PCMCS) service. The SuiteApp surfaces its navigation menus under the existing NetSuite EPM tab once both prerequisite bundles are installed.
What changed
- New SuiteApp bundle: Profitability and Cost Management Sync (v26.1). This is a first release — there is no upgrade path from a prior version.
- After installation, new navigation menus for Profitability and Cost Management appear under the NetSuite EPM tab.
Prerequisites
- The NetSuite EPM Connector SuiteApp must already be installed at its latest version. This connector provides the EPM tab and the underlying integration framework that the new SuiteApp depends on.
- Installation order matters: install or update the EPM Connector first, then install the Profitability and Cost Management Sync SuiteApp.
What the source does not say
The release notes are light on technical detail. The following points are not documented in this page and should be verified independently:
- Which NetSuite record types or saved searches are read/written by the sync.
- Whether custom records, custom fields, or scripted triggers (User Event, Map/Reduce) are deployed by the bundle.
- Governance impact of any scheduled or triggered scripts included in the SuiteApp.
- REST or SOAP endpoints used to communicate with EPM Cloud.
- Whether SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) is involved or if this is a traditional bundle.
Consult the full Profitability and Cost Management Sync Installation and Setup guide linked from the release notes for configuration specifics.
What to do
- If you use Oracle EPM Cloud's Profitability and Cost Management module, review the installation guide before deploying to production.
- Ensure the NetSuite EPM Connector SuiteApp is already installed and updated to the latest version in your target account.
- Install the Profitability and Cost Management Sync SuiteApp in a sandbox first to identify any custom-script conflicts, especially User Event scripts on financial records (e.g., Journal Entry, Vendor Bill) that could collide with sync logic.
- After installation, confirm the new navigation menus appear under the NetSuite EPM tab and that your roles have appropriate permissions to access them.
- Monitor the SuiteApp Installed list and script deployments (Customization > Scripting > Script Deployments) for any new deployments added by the bundle.
